Hi Sam, I would like to thank you for giving me The Alicia™!  This product is truly amazing!  I usually dreaded monthly periods but since I have been using The Alicia™, I don’t even know I had one!  Its ease of use, no mess, no fuss and always handy when u need it! Before using the Alicia I usually had a period for 7 days. Since using the product it has decreased to only 3 days or less! Amazing!  I know that everybody I know should have one!

I have always been a "pad" girl, never even contemplating the use of a tampon even at the age of near 40! The mere thought of something that was potentially toxic to my health, and dictated by western society upon what is "best" for female hygienic products, it mortified me. Tampon Manufacturers themselves are directed by governing laws to state on their the informational literature that "Tampon use has been associated with Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS). TSS is a rare but serious disease that may cause death". That is rather scary!
The fact that these everyday available products has generated landfill disheartened me immensely over the years alone.
I have was always on the "lookout" for something new... And when I heard that there was a product that non-toxic, non-fibrous, chemical free, environmentally friendly, re-useable.. I thought 'WOW!"

I just had my first cycle with my Alicia™ and it was AMAZING! I've never enjoyed a period that much! I couldn't get over how clean I felt. At times I forgot that I was even having my period. I got my period while I was at my cabin in the middle of a remote area, and it was wonderful not having to worry about discreetly disposing of pads 3-4 times a day. I could go swimming without having to make an excuse! And I didn't have one leak.

I was surprised at how light my period was after using The Alicia™ over the last 6 months. And, this may be TMI, but the blood wasn't how I expected it to be. It was kind of...sticky, if that makes sense. Also, amazingly, my period now only lasts for 3 days each cycle, where usually it lasts for 5-6 when I was using tampons!

I was scared to try The Alicia™ when I first got it, so it sat on my bedside table in it's packaging until a few days ago. When I finally started my cycle, and tried The Alicia™ the night of my first day, I had a bit of trouble getting it in. It wouldn't open and I wasn't able to place it up high enough. After trying a few more times, I was able to get it in and wasn't able to feel it at all! It even opened up, and after checking about half an hour later for leaks I found I was good to go!

This is my second cycle using The Alicia™ and I have to say, I absolutely love it! I was amazed to see that the blood from my body is actually blood, and not something absorbed into cotton.

My period always lasted 7-8 days when I used pads or tampons. Since I started using The Alicia I've found that my bleeding time has reduced to 4-5 days!

I finally took the plunge -- my Alicia arrived and I did a dry run that evening. I was a bit nervous as I've never even used tampons, but it was no problem getting it in or out, and I was shocked at how comfortable it was while in.

The Alicia is great! Don't worry about the cramping - I always get a lot of achiness is my vaginal walls during my period, and after switching to the Alicia I realized that it was from the expansion of the tampon. (I don't know why it took me so long to figure that out!) Using the Alicia I have no achiness; it is so much more comfortable!

Using the Alicia works great! You can use them up to 12 hours and if you insert them correctly, and you don't feel a thing. That's what I use when doing water sports and wearing bikini's (no string and no worrying about having to change anything for most of the day).

One year on and I love it more than ever! I'm much more proficient now and would certainly say to any newcomer who's apprehensive: persevere! It's not simple for eveyone at first and I definitely had some problems, but I'm glad I didn't give up. I wish, however, that the Alicia was more widely advertised and promoted because it seems criminal that so many women still feel that the only options are tampons and towels when that is so clearly not the case. OK, it takes a bit of getting used to and I'll admit to being a bit squeamish at first, but now I don't even give it a second thought. I feel so cheated that for 28 years I didn't know about these things. 11/10 for the Alicia!"

I stumbled across the Alicia while looking for unbleached tampons and natural pads, and the idea of a non-disposable product really appealed to me. When I got my Alicia in the mail, it looked a bit big and intimidating, and my husband laughed at me... but I had no trouble inserting it (as long as it is wet) and although I can feel it is there, it is not uncomfortable. I think it does take some getting used to, but is definitely worth the perseverance. I have a fairly light-medium flow, so found no need at all to use a back-up pad, even overnight. I feel much 'cleaner' with the Alicia, and tend to forget I even have my period. I wish I had discovered it before I travelled all over the world with a suitcase full of tampons!!
